Pittsburgh Riverhounds Academy Evaluations 2009 - 2010
Evaluation Information
Due to the terrific response of the soccer community to its personal and effective training techniques, The Riverhounds Academy is now managing waiting lists for all age groups of its developmental system. Thanks to word of mouth advertising from our Academy families, we have been overwhelmed by the influx of interest. As a result, Academy directors will be utilizing the Trial Evaluations for screening purposes, as we simply cannot bring every single player into The Academy. It is a system that we have had in place for a year and the results of this have produced groups of players who are at the same level technically. This aids in the complete development of each and every player that enters our program. All new players will be required for screening along with players who have not been in the program for the spring and summer sessions. However certain players who were with us in the Spring and Summer will be required to come in to a evaluation date so we can make a decision on the groupings moving forward. Please call the Riverhounds office and you will be notified if we require your child to be evaluated.
It is important for all families to understand that, as we grow, we are expanding our offerings to include as many players as QUALITY CONTROLS will allow. We have worked extremely hard over the past 2 years to demonstrate that our focus is the total development of the player, and in order to maintain that focus, we must ensure that our participation numbers do not out-run our ability to make a significant impact on each player’s growth. As families in our Academy will support, we make a total commitment to everyone involved. Our Trial Evaluations aim to identify those players who display a total commitment to the game. Rather than accept everyone and interfere with our strong teaching ratios for financial gain, we work diligently to provide the best experience possible for all involved.
Evaluation Dates
Below you will find 3 possible evaluation dates that your child can attend. We tried to be flexible and offer 3 different times as we are aware that many of you have FALL soccer commitments. You only need to register for one of the dates for a fee of $15.
The evaluation will last for 55 minutes and will cover an array of specific technical drills that will allow the Riverhounds Academy staff to monitor each player. It will take place in the main building of the Greentree SportsPlex.
