The Riverhounds are offering a College Showcase for current high school soccer players Friday, July 24th – Sunday, July 26th at the Greentree
SportsPlex. Both boys and girls will participate in a 6v6 tournament over the weekend, showcasing their skills to college coaches from some of the best schools and programs in Western Pennsylvania.
The Riverhounds 6v6 Summer Show Down will allow talented high school players to show their talents to college coaches from West Virginia University, The University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University, Robert Morris University, Carnegie Mellon University, Slippery Rock University, California University of Pennsylvania, Washington & Jefferson University, Point Park University, Westminster University, Allegheny College, St. Francis University, and Seton Hill University.
The tournament format is as follows: Pool Play will be held Friday and Saturday, with girls playing in the morning and boys playing in the afternoon. Playoffs will take place on Sunday.
There will be a minimum of four matches played for 20 minutes with a running clock. The roster limit for each team is 10. The 6v6 format allows 5 field players and one goalkeeper.
The cost of the Tournament is $400, although if you register before June 19th there is a $50 discount. The deadline for registration in July 11th. The price of registration also includes a tournament t-shirt and tickets to the July 24th and July 26th Riverhounds’ home games against the Western Mass Pioneers. All teams participating will be honored prior Friday’s game, and group winners will be honored at half time of Sunday’s match.
