The United Soccer Leagues announced the Team of the Week honors for the 10th week of the USL season, and Pittsburgh Riverhounds defender Ed Hayden was named to the USL Second Division Team of the Week. Hayden had a goal in the Hounds’ 1-0 win over Bermuda on June 11th at Chartiers Valley High School.
Hayden’s goal came early in the second half of the game against Bermuda when midfielder Justin Evans sent a corner kick right to the center of the Hogges goal box, allowing Hayden to head the ball past Bermuda’s keeper.
Hayden now has one goal and two points this season in 711 minutes played. He also continues to be one of the Riverhounds best defenders.
The USL also honored Minnesota’s Brian Cvilikas as the USL First Division Player of the Week and Baltimore’s Machel Millwood as the USL Second Division Player of the Week.
