Pittsburgh, PA-The Riverhounds (0-0-3) are coming off a bye weekend and will travel south to play two matches on back-to-back nights against the second place Charlotte Eagles (2-2-0) and the first place Charleston Battery (4-0-1).
Riverhounds versus Eagles
The undefeated Riverhounds return to action after nearly a two week break.In their last match, the Hounds drew 1-1 at home against the Richmond Kickers.
With the break, the Riverhounds are healthy and well rested to come out with high energy and earn three points in the first leg of the lengthy road trip.
The Eagles are coming off a 2-0 home victory over the Harrisburg City Islanders, with goals scored by Debola Ogunseye and Brady Bryant.
Charlotte will play host to the Riverhounds Friday night at Charlotte Christian Stadium with a Kick-Off set for 8 p.m.The match will be the first meeting of the two clubs in the 2010 season.
Riverhounds versus Battery
In their first match of the season, the two clubs fought to a scoreless draw at Blackbaud Stadium.Stellar performances by both goalkeepers stifled the oppositions attack by smothering every dangerous opportunity.The most notable save was made by the Riverhounds goalkeeper, Hunter Gilstrap on a penalty shot given to the Battery in the 70th minute.
The Battery is coming off a 3-1 home victory over the City Islanders, with two goals scored by Rudolph Mayard and one from Lamar Neagle.
The second leg of the Riverhounds road trip is slated for a 7:30 p.m. Kick-Off Saturday night at Blackbaud Stadium.
