Riverhounds Set for Final Home Match
Charleston Travels North

Pittsburgh, PA - The Pittsburgh Riverhounds (6-5-7) and Charleston Battery (10-3-5) meet for a critical battle in League play, as final placement for the post season has yet to be determined. With a win; the Riverhounds would secure their first playoff berth since 2006, while the Battery would finish at the top of the table and host the Championship match.

The Riverhounds are coming off of a physical mid-week showdown with the Harrisburg City Islanders (4-8-6) that ended in a 1-1 draw. The Hounds jumped ahead of the Isles in the first half with a goal from Jeremy Deighton, but a late goal from the Isles and some heroic efforts by Dustin Bixler in added time denied the Riverhounds of the win.

The Battery is wrapping up a 4-game road trip before heading back to Charleston for the season finale. Their most recent outing was played in Charlotte and ended in a 2-2 draw with the Eagles (5-7-6).

This Saturday’s matchup is scheduled for a 7:00 PM Kick-Off at Chartiers Valley Stadium. All tickets for the match will be $5 and can be purchased at the Gate.
