The Pittsburgh Riverhounds are pleased to announce try out details for the upcoming 2010 season. The player combine will be open to eligible college players, free agents, and amateur players seeking a Professional contract to further their careers. The Combine will be held on February 23rd, 24th, and 25th in Pittsburgh, PA.

PITTSBURGH, PA – USLsoccer.com caught up with newly-named head coach Justin Evans of the USL Second Division Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The new man in charge discussed his playing career and the year ahead.

In the aftermath of Haiti’s devastating earthquake the Riverhounds are joining the world in recovery efforts to help the victims of Haiti. The Riverhounds are asking that you donate clothing and other basic needs to the Greentree SportsPlex during business hours. The SportsPlex is open from 6 A.M to 11 P.M daily. 

In an effort to further develop the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Professional Soccer Club structure, the Club has announced that Gene Klein will immediately take the position of Technical Director, overseeing all things soccer for the Pro Team and Youth Academy. As his first order of business, Klein will announce Justin Evans as Head Coach of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Professional Team. These key moves are made with the intent to solidify their preparedness to enter a new direction as a professional level soccer club in the United States.

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds Internship Program is offered to college students and professional individuals interested in beginning a career in the sports setting. In 2009 we offered a hands on learning experience to a wide variety of students from Duquesne, Robert Morris and other Pittsburgh Based Universities. If your interested in having an action fun packed summer, give the Riverhounds Internship a try!

It is prominently displayed on the crest of one of England’s top clubs, Everton FC.  It is their motto.  It has been since 1878.  It is on each of The Riverhounds Academy shirts....Nil Satis Nisi Optimum. Nothing but the best is good enough.It seems rather demanding…almost pushy.  However, in this phrase, we learn a great deal about the club with whom The Riverhounds Academy is honored to be a North American affiliate. In 2007, the Riverhounds brokered a relationship with Everton Football Club of England. 

Players, coaches, parents, and spectators packed the Greentree SportsPlex on December 28th, 29th, and 30th for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds 2nd Annual Holiday Classic Tournament.  90 teams from the Tri-State area displayed  their talents and skills in both 3 v 3 and   6 v 6 action, making the tournament  competitive and a success.  The quality of soccer showcased was a real treat for everyone involved and showed the importance of the growth in the sport at the youth level.
