About Edward Hayden

In his first season with the Riverhounds, Edward, a left back, played in 17 of the Riverhounds league games, logging 1,717 minutes, and scoring two goals on 11 shots. 

Edward previously played for the AC Diablos of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) in 2007, and the Richmond Kickers of the USL-2 in 2006.  In college, Edward played at Saint Francis (PA) and at Monmouth University (NJ), both in the Northeast Conference of the NCAA. Hayden was named Monmouth University Men’s Soccer MVP in 2004, and he earned Second Team All-NEC in 2004, and First Team All NEC-in 2005. 

Edward, born in Silver Spring, MD, is the son of Edward and Tresa Hayden. He has one brother, Taylor. His hobbies include music - especially old-school Hip Hop, Reggae, and Go-Go - playing chess, and coaching youth soccer. Edward studied Marketing at Monmouth University. He attended Magruder High School in Rockville, MD, and played youth soccer with the Olney Metro-Stars and the Baltimore Bays. Other than the hounds, his favorite professional soccer club is the Juventus Football Club. His favorite players are Sergio Ramos and Daniel Alves.
