About Zach Varga

Zach Varga, Pittsburgh’s number 1 keeper, started 12 games in goal for the Hounds in 2008, playing 1,080 minutes. The team went 3-5-4 with him in goal. He posted two shutouts and made 44 saves while allowing 19 goals. His Goals Against Average was 1.583

In college, Zach played for Duquesne University and was a 3rd Team All-American Rookie in 2003. In 2005, he was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year

Zach played at Hempfield High School in Lancaster, PA.
