Founded in 1999, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds have brought elite soccer to Western Pennsylvania and are the only pro soccer team in the region. The Riverhounds recruit players from top programs around the country and the world. Our pros have played at top universities, in professional leagues, and in international competitions. 

The team also offers the unique opportunity for aspiring soccer stars around Pittsburgh to train with and learn from the pros. No other professional team in Pittsburgh offers that kind of community interaction.

After missing the 2007 season, the Hounds came back in 2008 to play at a new location - their current home of Chartiers Valley High School. Under the ownership group that includes the Greentree SportsPlex, the Hill Family Partnership, and other limited partners the Riverhounds are building towards many exciting projects in the future. Come out to Chartiers Valley High School every home game this summer to watch the fourth professional sports franchise in Pittsburgh.
