The Riverhounds Players and Staff would like to thank you for your support over the past few years. In 2007 the Greentree SportsPlex ownership group purchased the Riverhounds and began implementing various programs to bolster our postion as a winning professional franchise in Pittsburgh. The first program implemented was the Riverhounds Academy.
Since the inception of the Riverhounds Academy, a high demand has come from the community to further aid in the development of our youth in relation to the sport of soccer. In order to meet this demand, the Riverhounds began a "Train with the Pros" program.
The "Train with the Pros" program focuses on the individual needs of the player and/or group of players. "Train with the Pros" has elevated to a higher level by incorporating specific training regimens related to each player’s ability and helps transform him/her into the player he/she strives to become.
Pittsburgh Riverhounds professional players and coaching staff are dedicated to aid in the development of Western Pennsylvania soccer, by starting at the grass roots, with our youth. The "Train with the Pros" program focuses on basic soccer specific skills and progresses into more tactical areas based on the development of the individual and/or group.
Training with the pros is available to players of all ages and skill levels. Our mission is to develop the complete player by paving the way for success. In order to develop each player, we will focus on their individual needs and build on the skill sets they already possess.
