Three rivers.
One big personality.
AMO’s name comes from the three rivers that help make Pittsburgh so unique: the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio. Take the first letter of each, and you get our favorite Hound.
Allegheny
The A in AMO. One part of the place we call home.
Monongahela
The M in AMO. A river with a name as memorable as he is.
Ohio
The O in AMO. Where two rivers come together, a new one begins.
At Pittsburgh’s Point, the Allegheny and Monongahela meet to form the Ohio River. Three rivers, one city, and a name that celebrates it all.
