Pups at the Pitch

On May 30, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds will host their first-ever Pups at the Pitch Night — allowing fans to enjoy the match with their favorite furry friends — when the team hosts Miami FC at 7 p.m.

Fans interested in buying tickets are asked to read the following information and must accept the terms of the liability waiver below before proceeding to purchase tickets.

Additional conditions

• We reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog.
• Pups at the Pitch tickets cannot be transferred or re-sold in any manner.
• No walk-up tickets for Pups at the Pitch will be available on match day.
• One dog is allowed per adult, 18 years of age or older. Dogs must be at least six (6) months old.
• A veterinarian will be on hand in case of emergency, injury or illness, subject to availability.
• It is the dog owner’s sole responsibility to care for and be in control of their pet while at the stadium.
• All dogs must have visible ID tags, be on a leash at all times and have current rabies vaccination.
• The RELEASE AND WAIVER (below) must be accepted in order to purchase tickets.
• A Pups at the Pitch ticket is required for a person to enter with a dog, but the dog does not need its own ticket. Dogs may not enter with other tickets for other sections or groups.

Note: Information on stadium entrance location and process, as well as details on what you and your dog can expect on match day, will be sent to Pups at the Pitch ticket buyers closer to May 30.

Release and waiver

Thank you for your interest in “Pups at the Pitch!” In order to purchase Pups at the Pitch tickets, you first must read and agree to the Release and Waiver below. When you click on the “I Accept” button, you will be indicating that you accept the terms of the Release and Waiver, and you then will be presented with the opportunity to purchase your Pups at the Pitch tickets.

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT. READ THIS DOCUMENT CAREFULLY. BY AGREEING TO THIS RELEASE, YOU ARE WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS.

In order to purchase tickets for and participate in Pups at the Pitch (the “Event”), I acknowledge and agree to be legally bound by the terms of this Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnification Agreement (this “Release”).

In consideration of Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC permitting me and my dog (“Dog”) to enter and attend the Event at Highmark Stadium, located at 510 W Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15219 (the “Stadium”), I agree as follows: I represent and warrant that: (a) I am the owner or authorized handler of the Dog; (b) The Dog is in good health, not in heat, and current on all required vaccinations, including rabies; (c) The Dog has no history of aggressive, dangerous, or vicious behavior toward persons or other animals; (d) The Dog will be properly restrained and kept on a leash and under my control at all times while at the Stadium.

I agree to comply with all Stadium rules, Event rules, and all instructions given by Stadium personnel, security, or Event staff. I acknowledge that Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to deny entry to or require removal of any person or Dog for safety, behavioral, or operational reasons, without refund or liability.

I understand and acknowledge that attendance at and participation in the Event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: Dog bites, fights, or other interactions between dogs; Contact with spectators, staff, players, or other participants; Slips, trips, falls, crowd conditions, noise, weather, and Stadium surfaces; Soccer-related activities, including balls, equipment, or other objects entering spectator areas; Exposure to communicable diseases.

I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, arising out of or related to my participation in the Event and the presence of my Dog at the Stadium.

On behalf of myself and my Dog, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue: Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC; Highmark Stadium and its owners and operators; The United Soccer League and its member clubs; Event sponsors, advertisers, and promotional partners; Each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, contractors, players, coaches, officials, and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses of any kind arising out of or related to my participation in the Event or the presence or actions of my Dog, including claims arising from the negligence of any Released Party, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) My participation in the Event; (b) The actions, behavior, or condition of my Dog; (c) Any injury to persons, animals, or damage to property caused by me or my Dog.

I authorize Stadium personnel or emergency responders to contact me to obtain medical or veterinary treatment for me and/or my Dog in the event of injury or illness, and I agree to be solely responsible for all related costs and expenses.

I grant the Released Parties a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use my name, likeness, image, voice, and my Dog’s likeness in any media now known or hereafter developed, for advertising, promotional, marketing, or broadcast purposes related to the Event or future events, without compensation or further approval.

This Release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any dispute arising under this Release shall lie in the state or federal courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

This Release constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding the Event. If any provision of this Release is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This Release shall be binding upon me and my heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE IN ITS ENTIRETY, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND AGREE TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY IT. I AM AGREEING TO THIS RELEASE VOLUNTARILY AND WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE THAT I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS.
