PITTSBURGH (May 4, 2026) — Pittsburgh Riverhounds 2 announces another trio of players to bolster its squad as its inaugural season nears with Matthew Goulding, Peter Morano and Michael Lee as the newest to join the team.
Goulding, 20, joins Hounds 2 after a strong freshman campaign with Roosevelt University, where he logged nearly 1,500 minutes — ranking third on the team — and added a goal and an assist as a defender. Hailing from Bath, England, Goulding spent time in the academy at Reading FC, playing at the U-18 level, and he comes to Hounds 2 after having a brief role with New Jersey Copa FC in USL League Two last summer.
Morano, 20, is coming off his redshirt freshman season at High Point University, which finished with a 14-2-4 record and won the Big South Conference Tournament. Morano, who comes from Chapel Hill, N.C., joins Hounds 2 after playing for Wake FC in USL League Two in 2025, making 10 saves in that time.
Lee, 20, recently transferred to the University of Kentucky after completing his sophomore season with Louisville, scoring three goals — tied for first on the team — and recording two assists, tying him for first on the team in points. A Toronto native, Lee played in the Toronto FC Academy, scoring 17 goals in 25 matches in the 2022-23 MLS NEXT season.
“The Riverhounds 2 squad will be bolstered by the additions of Goulding, Lee and Morano, each bringing quality and depth to the group,” Hounds 2 head coach Josh Kremers said. “Goulding developed through the Reading United academy and quickly made an impression at the USL League Two and NCAA Division II levels. Morano adds further stability, having come through the North Carolina FC Academy.”
Kremers continued: “Michael Lee offers a dynamic attacking presence. Comfortable on either wing, he has the ability to both create and finish chances in the final third.”
Riverhounds 2 will open its inaugural USL League Two season at F.N.B. Stadium on Sunday, May 17 at 4 p.m. against the Cleveland Force.
