PITTSBURGH (April 8, 2026) — Pittsburgh Riverhounds 2 has added a pair of defenders for their inaugural USL League Two season, with the Davidson College duo of Patrick Ward and Brady McGlone ready to join the squad.
Ward, 20, completed his junior season for the Wildcats last fall, starting all 19 games for a team that recorded seven clean sheets last fall. One of three players who started every game for the team, Ward recorded the third most minutes on the team, and the San Diego native also scored a game-winning penalty in a 1-0 win against Rhode Island.
McGlone, 19, made the transition from midfield to center back in his sophomore season, helping the team record five consecutive shutouts. McGlone also ranked second on the team in assists with five and second in points with seven. The Columbus, Ohio, native is also a familiar face as a former opponent of the Riverhounds Academy’s ECNL sides, winning ECNL Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year twice for Ohio Premier.
“We are excited to welcome Patrick and Brady to the Riverhounds organization as a part of the Riverhounds II team this summer,” Riverhounds 2 head coach Josh Kremers said. “Patrick has been a consistent starter for Davidson, where he has shown his quality on both sides of the ball. His ability to impact the game and his ambition to compete at the highest level is what we are excited for him to add to the program.”
Kremers continued: “Brady is a player we have known for a while, having competed against him in the ECNL, and he’s consistently shown a high level of quality. His versatility across multiple positions has been a real asset at Davidson and will bring a high level of quality to the Riverhounds environment. We’re looking forward to welcoming another player who strengthens the group and continues to build credibility and momentum behind our pathway to the professional levels.”
