Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (4-2-0) will face Indy Eleven (5-2-1) in a clash between two of the top teams in the USL Championship. This second head-to-head matchup will be played at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15 at Lucas Oil Stadium. The match can be watched live on 22 The Point.
Here are three things to watch for during the game on Saturday.
Last time these two squads played each other, Indy Eleven squeaked by with a win in the very last second of the game. Former Hound Tyler Pasher ended the game in the 90+7 minute with an incredible run down the right wing that finished with a left-footed shot into the net.
This Saturday, the Hounds will look to rebound from this earlier result.
2.) Winning Streak
With a win in their next matchup, the Hounds will earn their first three-game winning streak of the season. The last time the Hounds had a regular season winning streak longer than two games was last season when they won three straight matches from Sept. 24 through Oct. 1.
The club will also look to add to its offensive surge with eight goals in the last two games. A three-game winning streak would be tied for the longest in Group F this season, as Hartford Athletic rode a three-game win streak earlier in the year.
3.) First place contenders
The Hounds and Indy Eleven both come into this game holding the top spot in their respected groups. While Pittsburgh currently is tied for first in Group F with Hartford Athletic, Indy comes into this game with a six-point edge over second-place Saint Louis FC in Group E.
All four of these teams will be in action on Saturday, so both Pittsburgh and Indy will both look to keep pace in their respective groups.
