2027 season tickets on sale now

PITTSBURGH (Sept. 1, 2026) — Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC announced today that season tickets for the 2027 season are now on sale, giving fans the opportunity to secure their seats at F.N.B. Stadium for another season of Hounds soccer and memorable matchday experiences on the South Shore.

Season tickets start at just $20 a ticket, per game, providing fans with the best per-match ticket value offered by the club. Flexible payment plans also are available, making it easier than ever for supporters to be part of every home match. The 2027 season ticket package includes all 17 Riverhounds home matches from March through October, along with a variety of exclusive benefits for Season Ticket Holders.

Riverhounds matches at F.N.B. Stadium are about more than just the 90 minutes on the field. From fireworks nights and $1 Beer Nights to special giveaways, theme nights and family-friendly entertainment, each match offers a different experience for fans throughout the season. The club’s complete 2027 promotional schedule will be announced after the release of the 2027 USL Championship schedule.

412 Football Classic coming to F.N.B. Stadium

PITTSBURGH (Aug. 20, 2026) — F.N.B. Stadium and the Riverhounds Sports Group today announced the launch of the 412 Football Classic, an exciting new showcase bringing Western Pennsylvania’s passion for football to the South Shore home of the USL champion Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

The inaugural 412 Football Classic will feature three matchups, two conference and a non-conference tilt, involving six Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League programs across three nights, giving players, coaches, families and fans the opportunity to experience high school football in the setting of a professional sports venue.

The matchups announced today are:

• Neshannock vs. North Catholic, Non-conference — Thursday, Oct. 15
• Penn Hills vs. Moon, Class 5A Northeast Conference — Friday, Oct. 16
• Hopewell vs. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Class 3A Western Hills Conference — Saturday, Oct. 17

All three of those matchups will kick off at 7 p.m., under the lights with the Pittsburgh skyline as their backdrop.

The 412 Football Classic is designed to provide participating schools and their communities with an elevated game-day experience, while introducing a new annual event to the F.N.B. Stadium calendar.

The games this October will mark the return of football to F.N.B. Stadium for the first time since 2018. The pro soccer venue has been a home for football many times before, however, having previously hosted WPIAL football contests, the Pittsburgh Passion women’s football team and the University of Pittsburgh’s Spring Game in 2015.

“We’re excited to open the doors of F.N.B. Stadium to these teams and give players, coaches and fans the opportunity to experience their games on a professional stage,” said Jeff Garner, President of F.N.B. Stadium and Riverhounds Sports Group. “One of the things that makes this venue special is its ability to bring people together for experiences beyond our regular soccer events. We want the 412 Football Classic to become an annual tradition, giving Western Pennsylvania high school teams the chance to create some great memories at a truly unique venue.”

Viera earns first Team of the Week honor

PITTSBURGH (Aug. 4, 2026) — Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC midfielder Max Viera was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week, presented by SiteOne, when the league announced the honors for Week 22 this afternoon.

Viera was named to the team as a defender after playing right back in Saturday’s 1-0 victory at Oakland Roots SC. The first-year pro assisted the only goal of the match by getting forward to head a Charles Ahl cross back into the path of Eliot Goldthorp for the finish. That play was one of two chances created by Viera, who also won 7 of 8 duels, was successful on all three of his tackles, earned a pair of free kicks and added two clearances.

Viera also won 3 of 3 duels and had a chance created in the Hounds’ midweek loss to FC Tulsa, in which he played 25 minutes coming off the bench as a substitute.

It is the first appearance in the weekly honors for Viera, who becomes the seventh different Hounds player named in the league’s best 11 this season. To see the full Team of the Week, visit uslchampionship.com.

Yu Tsukanome joins Hounds on loan deal

PITTSBURGH (July 27, 2026) — Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC has acquired forward Yu Tsukanome from the Seattle Sounders of MLS on a loan deal for the remainder of the 2026 season.

Tsukanome, 25, is a native of Saitama, Japan, who has been a scoring standout for the past three seasons with the Tacoma Defiance, Seattle’s affiliate team in MLS Next Pro. Last season, he scored 21 goals in 31 matches to earn honorable mention all-league honors and set a new single-season record for the Defiance, a record spanning the team’s time in MLS Next Pro and the USL Championship.

“Yu is a technically strong attacker who brings an eye for goal, an ability to link play and a great work rate to complement our current group,” Hounds head coach Rob Vincent said.

“Yu was one of the most prolific goal scorers in MLS NEXT Pro last year and has continued that form through the first half of this season. We’re excited to add a player with his production to our attacking group,” Hounds sporting director Dan Visser added.

After two years under contract with the Defiance, Tsukanome signed with the Sounders before this season but was loaned back to Tacoma, where he has scored five goals in 10 appearances this season. In 70 total appearances for Tacoma since 2014, Tsukanome has accumulated 30 goals and eight assists.

Tsukanome joined the Hounds in training late last week and will be eligible for selection in the team’s next match Wednesday when they host FC Tulsa at 7 p.m. in a rematch of last year’s USL Championship Final.

AHN, Hounds announce 2026 Change Makers

PITTSBURGH (July 23, 2026) — The Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Allegheny Health Network are teaming up once again to present the AHN Change Makers series with the 2026 theme Heart of a Hound: Access to Greatness.

The Change Makers series was launched by the Hounds and AHN in 2023 to recognize individuals across the Pittsburgh region who demonstrate leadership, perseverance and a commitment to improving the lives of their fellow community members.

With a new theme each year, this year’s Heart of a Hound: Access to Greatness theme will highlight the stories of community members who have shown exceptional resilience to better themselves and others. Whether it is a young person overcoming a pediatric health challenge to return to the field or a man or woman leading the charge to help those in their neighborhood access better health and wellness services, AHN and the Hounds are seeking to honor those who have shown the “Heart of a Hound.”

Friends, family, fans and members of the AHN and Hounds communities are invited to nominate candidates for this year’s Change Makers series using the online submission form at riverhounds.com/change.

This year’s honorees will be recognized at halftime of the Riverhounds’ match on Saturday, Sept. 12 at F.N.B. Stadium, and they will get to enjoy the match from the AHN suite. Honorees also will receive social media spotlights and a special Riverhounds Change Makers jersey in addition to the on-field ceremony.

Scoring surge earns Player of the Week for Amann

PITTSBURGH (July 21, 2026) — Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC forward Trevor Amann was named the USL Championship Player of the Week for Week 19/20 after a historic scoring outburst last week, the league announced this afternoon.

Amann finished the week with four goals in two matches, which was highlighted by the fastest-ever hat trick in a professional league in the United States. He needed only 3 minutes and 27 seconds to rack up his three goals in the Hounds’ 3-1 win Saturday over Louisville City FC in front of a national CBS audience.

That spectacular stretch came after Amann scored during the Hounds’ midweek match at Sporting Jacksonville, sending Amann into the team lead with nine goals across all competitions in 2026, including five in USL Championship play.

Amann is the third Hounds player to win Player of the Week this season after Albert Dikwa took the honor in Week 7 and Nico Campuzano got top honors in Week 10. He is also the first Hounds player to have at least four goals in a two-match stretch since Russell Cicerone bagged five across consecutive matches against Atlanta and Hartford on Aug. 22 and 28, 2021.

Joining Amann on the USL Championship Team of the Week, presented by SiteOne, is Hounds midfielder Eliot Goldthorp, who earned one of the bench spots in the league honors. Goldthorp assisted Amann’s goal in the Jacksonville match and was a dangerous playmaker through both the week’s matches with 13 total crosses — most on the team — and four chances created, which was tied with Robbie Mertz for the most on the week.

Touch-A-Truck returns to F.N.B. Stadium on Aug. 29

PITTSBURGH (July 21, 2026) — The Pittsburgh Riverhounds will welcome families from across the region to Touch-A-Truck on Saturday, Aug. 29, from 2-4 p.m. at F.N.B. Stadium, offering children of all ages the opportunity to climb aboard, explore and interact with an exciting collection of vehicles before enjoying an evening of professional soccer.

The family-friendly event will feature a wide variety of vehicles from industries and organizations throughout the Pittsburgh area, including emergency response, construction, public works, transportation, utilities, military and specialty vehicles. Children will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel, meet the professionals who operate these impressive machines every day, and enjoy a hands-on experience unlike any other.

Touch-A-Truck will take place before the Riverhounds’ USL Championship match later that evening against the Tampa Bay Rowdies, allowing families to enjoy a full day of entertainment at the stadium. A ticket to Touch-A-Truck includes admission to the Riverhounds match.

Saturday kickoff time moved to 7 p.m.

PITTSBURGH (July 7, 2026) — The Pittsburgh Riverhounds’ match this Saturday, July 11, against Loudoun United FC at F.N.B. Stadium has been moved to a 7 p.m. kickoff.

With the new kickoff time, gates to F.N.B. Stadium will open at 6 p.m. and the Tailgate Zone will open at 5 p.m. The match, the team’s final group stage match in the Prinx Tires USL Cup, will still be shown on KDKA+ and streamed on ESPN+.

Tickets for Saturday’s contest are still available through Ticketmaster or by contacting the F.N.B. Stadium Box Office at 412-865-GOAL. All tickets already issued for the match remain valid for the new start time.

Kerr, Shallenberger set to enter Hounds Hall of Fame

PITTSBURGH (July 1, 2026) — Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC has selected the inductees for the 2026 Riverhounds Hall of Fame class with longtime midfielder Kevin Kerr and team owner Tuffy Shallenberger set to be honored at this year’s induction ceremony on Thursday, July 16.

Kerr, who played for the club from 2013-19, and Shallenberger, who first became part of Riverhounds leadership by joining the team’s former ownership group in 2013, are the first two inductees to represent the “modern” era of the team’s history — after the opening of F.N.B. Stadium, previously Highmark Stadium.

This year’s induction ceremony will be the fourth in the Hall’s history, and the Class of 2026 will be celebrated along with friends, family, teammates and Hounds staff. The inductees also will be honored at the Riverhounds’ match Saturday, July 18, when they host Louisville City FC in a noon match that will be televised nationally on CBS.

The Hall of Fame class was chosen in a vote by current Riverhounds leadership staff, the living members of the Hall of Fame and select media members who have covered the team. All inductees received at least 75 percent of the vote to be selected.

Meet the Riverhounds SC Hall of Fame Class of 2026

Kevin Kerr

A longtime midfielder for the Hounds known for his work rate and playmaking ability, Kerr played seven seasons for the Hounds from 2013-19 and still rates among the top players in club history among multiple categories. Born in West Germany and the son of a Scottish serviceman, Kerr began his career in the German league system, debuting at the senior level with Arminia Bielefeld and representing Scotland at the Under-21 level. He joined the Hounds before the 2013 season and quickly claimed a regular spot in the lineup, but 2015 would be his breakout season with 10 goals and nine assists to claim All-USL honors. He continued to be a veteran influence for the team as the club’s on-field fortunes turned upward in 2018, being a key part of the team’s first home playoff match at then-Highmark Stadium in 2018 and its first playoff win in 15 years during his final season. Kerr retired after 2019 as the club’s all-time assists leader, and he still ranks among the top five in team history for goals (fourth, 32), assists (second, 29) and appearances (fourth, 191) while having the most goals scored at F.N.B. Stadium with 24.

Tuffy Shallenberger

In his 12th year as the Riverhounds owner, Shallenberger has overseen an era of unmatched growth and on-field success for the Riverhounds organization. Already a successful businessman in construction and related industries, Shallenberger joined the ownership group in 2013 after his son developed an interest in the sport, and he became the team’s sole owner when the club emerged from bankruptcy after the 2014 season. His efforts kept the club operating through that time before kicking off an era of growth. Under Shallenberger, the Riverhounds Academy has grown from primarily a training program into a robust team model with nearly 1,000 boys and girls playing on the club’s teams annually. He also headed up the construction of the AHN Montour Sports Complex, the state-of-the-art training complex and sports medicine center that serves as the club’s home, and helped pave the way for the launch of the Pittsburgh Riveters, the club’s senior-level women’s team. But most notably, he was responsible for the hiring of longtime head coach Bob Lilley, and their combined efforts turned the Riverhounds into a perennial USL Championship contender, culminating with the team’s first trophy — the 2023 Players’ Shield — and its first league championship after winning the 2025 USL Championship Final.

Campuzano earns Team of the Week nod

PITTSBURGH (June 23, 2026) — Pittsburgh Riverhounds goalkeeper Nico Campuzano was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 16 after his shutout performance Saturday in the team’s 0-0 draw on the road at Hartford Athletic.

Campuzano finished the match with three saves to his name — all coming in the second half — and each of the three carried some degree of difficulty, including his leaping stop of a Michee Ngalina shot in the 60th minute and a strong block to parry away another shot by Ngalina in the 90th minute.

The goalkeeper also did well marshaling the defense as they combined to handle 12 Hartford corner kicks, and Campuzano also had three clearances in the match as he recorded his fourth consecutive clean sheet for a team that has not allowed a goal in its last 426 minutes.

It is the second Team of the Week honor in 2026 for Campuzano, who was Player of the Week in Week 10, the week when he began his current personal shutout streak.

The Hounds are off this week but return to action at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 4, when they host USL Championship newcomers Brooklyn FC at F.N.B. Stadium.
