SPRING 2026 INFORMATION
We are pleased to announce the opening of our 2026 Spring Technical Training Academy that will take place at our indoor facility at Montour Junction Sports Complex.
Each player that takes part in the 8-week program will improve technically on the soccer ball in many areas. The aim is that players who take part in the program will be prepared and ready for the Spring season. We are confident that all players will improve comfort levels on the ball and will be a more confident technical player at the conclusion of the program.
Our training sessions will be high tempo and players will leave each session feeling challenged. Our technical staff will be comprised of our top Riverhounds Development Academy coaches and trainers. We will also integrate some of our Pittsburgh Riverhounds professional players into the sessions which will be a great experience for the players.
The program will be aimed at the following birth years and is open to any player regardless of club affiliation:
U9/10 (2017 / 2016) Boys and Girls
U11/12 (2015 / 2014) Boys and Girls
U13/14/15 (2013 / 2012 / 2011) Boys and Girls
If your child is younger than the 2017 age group then that player will fall into our Spring Grassroots Program. All the details of that program can be found here.

The price of the Spring Program will be $275 and broken up into installments for families. We will also have sibling discounts in place.
WHY JOIN THE TECHNICAL TRAINING ACADEMY?
Technical Training Academy is a flagship program from the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Technical Training Academy is offered in multiple locations throughout the year both in-season and off-season. This program offers players the opportunity for players refine their skills and boost confidence on the ball during the season and the off-season.
PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE:
- Comprehensive Skill Development: Our 8-week program focuses on improving technical skills, ball control, and overall player confidence.
- Expert Coaching: Sessions are led by top Riverhounds Development Academy coaches, trainers, and Pittsburgh Riverhounds professional players for a challenging, high-tempo experience.
- Off/Pre-Season Preparation: Players will leave the program ready to hit the ground running in their current and upcoming season.
PLAYER-CENTRIC DEVELOPMENT:
We are committed to provide the best possible experience for each player in the program. We understand that every player is unique and progresses at their own pace. Each player will have the opportunity to move up or down training groups based on their performance and progress.
