PITTSBURGH (July 31, 2018) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (9-3-7) returns to Highmark Stadium for a two-game homestand, beginning tomorrow night with a visit from the Richmond Kickers (5-11-3) at 7 p.m.
This will be the second and final head-to-head meeting this regular season – the Hounds prevailed 2-1 over the Kickers in Richmond this past June. Wednesday’s match also marks the 40th meeting all-time between the Old Guard sides with the Kickers holding a 20-9-10 advantage to date.
In the midst of their first two-game losing streak of the season, this week’s homestand might be exactly what the doctor ordered. The Hounds’ next two opponents in Richmond and Toronto have a combined record of 6-26-6 this season.
Off the pitch, Pittsburgh will hold its annual Faith and Family Night. Fans are encouraged to stick around after the match for a postgame testimonial, where current players and coaches will share their stories on the power of faith and family in sport.
Tickets to Wednesday’s match are still available and can be found by visiting www.riverhounds.com. The game can also be streamed live via ESPN+ with a paid subscription.
