SUMMER 2024 INFORMATION
We will be offering a 8 week Summer Grassroots session that will begin on Monday June 17th and conclude on Monday August 12th. This will exclude the Monday July 1st week and will follow the same days / times / groups as the Spring Program. The registration for the program is now open.

2024 – Summer Technical Training Academy
We are pleased to announce the opening of our 2024 Summer Technical Training Academy that will take place at our indoor facility at AHN Montour Sports Complex. Throughout the Winter and Spring, we have worked with over 650 players and look forward to another great session. .
If your child took part in the Spring and enrolls for the Summer, we will keep your child in the same developmental tier. We will evaluate all new players on the first session of training and then place them in the appropriate developmental group. This will ensure that each player receives the appropriate level of challenge, thus enhancing their growth and enjoyment in the program.
Each player that takes part in the 8 week program will improve technically on the soccer ball. We are confident that all players will improve comfort levels on the ball and will be a more confident technical player at the conclusion of the program. Our training sessions will be high tempo and players will leave each session feeling challenged. The technical staff will be led by our current RDA (Riverhounds Development Academy) coaches. Our RDA coaches have a wealth of experience in nurturing young players and have a proven track record of developing players. In addition we will also integrate our Pittsburgh Riverhounds professional players into the sessions which will be a great experience for the players.

The program will be aimed at the following birth years and is open to any player regardless of club affiliation:
U9/10 (2015 / 2014) Boys and Girls
U11/12 (2013 / 2012) Boys and Girls
U13/14/15 (2011 / 2010 / 2009) Boys and Girls

At each age offering we will have tiered groups for the 8 week winter program
The groups will be tiered the following per age group and gender:
Tier 1 (Top)
Tier 2
Tier 3
Each group will have around 25-30 players.
Player-Centric Development:
We are committed to provide the best possible experience for each player in the program. We understand that every player is unique and progresses at their own pace. Each player will have the opportunity to move up or down training groups based on their performance an progress.
Progress Assessment:
Throughout the Summer Technical Training Program, our coaches will continuously assess each players development. This assessment covers various aspects of their game, including technical skills, attitude, and an overall willingness to learn and practice. If a player demonstrates exceptional progress and readiness for a more challenging training environment, we will move the player up to the appropriate tier. Conversely, if we believe the player would benefit from a more tailored training experience in a different tier, we will make that adjustment as well. This can happen at any point throughout the 8 week program.

5:45pm – 7:00pm – 2015 /2014 Boys and Girls
7:00pm – 8:15pm – 2013 / 2012 Boys and Girls
8:15pm – 9:30pm – 2011 / 2010 / 2009 Boys and Girls
The price of the Spring Program will be $275
Training Academy Uniform
All players will be required to purchase a training uniform (Unless you’re a returning training academy player). The PDF ordering form is attached below. Please print out and follow the instructions on the form. You will need to send you order form to the following:

Training Academy Uniform
We ask you order your uniform upon sign up so we can have it ready for the start of the program. If a player is returning to the program and already has this specific uniform there is no need to purchase.
