PITTSBURGH (November 6, 2018) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC will partner with WQED for its upcoming fundraiser event, “Peace on the Pitch,” scheduled from 12-4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18 at Highmark Stadium.
Serving as an in-kind media sponsor, WQED will have a charitable table for giveaways benefitting both the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and the City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety in light of the tragic events at the Tree of Life Synagogue in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood.
“Peace on the Pitch” is centered on bringing Pittsburgh neighborhoods together through the beautiful game. At the event, participants are given the opportunity to play 7-on-7 soccer matches on the Highmark Stadium field, in addition to other fundraising efforts.
All donations and proceeds at the event will go toward fundraising efforts.
