PITTSBURGH (June 16, 2017) – The Pittsburgh Riverhounds have mutually agreed to part ways with midfielder Devaughn Elliott and forward John Manga.
Both offseason additions under head coach Dave Brandt, Elliott signed this past month with Antigua Guatemala Fútbol Club after finalizing his departure, while Manga is expected to pursue an opportunity in the Premier Development League (PDL) with recently announced partner Ocean City Nor’easters.
“With a crowded roster here in Pittsburgh, especially at midfield and in the attack, we felt the moves for Devaughn and John afforded both of them an opportunity to get back to competing in high level situations and embracing major roles in a different setting,” Brandt said.
The Hounds face Louisville City FC tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at Slugger Field. More info can be found by visiting www.riverhounds.com.
