PITTSBURGH (April 30, 2020) – Announced today by the United Soccer League, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC will compete in the USL eCup: FIFA20 Edition.
This FIFA20 esports tournament will consist of 32 total teams, containing clubs from the USL Championship and USL League One. The entire tournament will last six weeks and start on May 4.
Featuring promotion and relegation with weekly brackets across three divisions, each participating club will be randomly assigned a premier international squad to compete with during the tournament. From then, teams will earn points after each week based on performance and the squad with the most cumulative points at the tournament’s completion will be crowned the champion.
Every match in this edition of the USL eCup will be streamed live on Twitch. Riverhounds SC matches can be streamed live on the team’s Twitch channel.
