AMO was named after Pittsburgh’s three rivers: the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio, symbolizing the city’s spirit and connection to its waterways. He proudly wears the number 99 on his jersey to honor the year the Pittsburgh Riverhounds were founded. AMO became the team’s mascot after hearing they were looking for one – he walked into the stadium, pranking everyone along the way, and his playful energy won over both the team and the fans, earning him the title of official mascot.
