PITTSBURGH (June 2, 2017) – The Pittsburgh Riverhounds have hired Jordan Kay as Director of Marketing.
Kay comes to the club with almost 15 years of experience in the retail and food and beverage industry, where he’s worked and led teams with brands such as Red Bull, Dunkin’ Donuts, Whole Foods Market, Italian consumer brand Technogel and many local businesses and non-profits.
“Our goal since before this season began has been to build something substantial here, and adding a bright mind such as Jordan’s will certainly help us as we continue to strive towards that goal,” said general manager Kevin Johnston. “His experience and success within the Pittsburgh community are undeniable strengths that we believe will translate immensely in our growth as an organization.”
A native of Pittsburgh, Kay is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, a former Pittsburgh Magazine “40 Under 40” selection and holds a certificate in marketing strategy from Cornell University. He currently resides in the city with his daughter and two dogs.
“I am very excited to join the Riverhounds team,” Kay said. “As a long-time resident of Pittsburgh, my knowledge and passion for the city are assets that I believe will help in maximizing the Hounds’ impact on the soccer community in Western Pennsylvania.”
Of note, former Director of Marketing Simon Barracchini will move over to a creative role with the club as Media Manager, with a primary focus in growing video content within the Hounds brand. In addition, the club wishes Director of Ticketing Jason Dawbin well as he steps down from his current position to pursue other interests within the professional sports field.
