PITTSBURGH (July 19, 2018) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (9-1-7) return to action after a 13-day break to take on the Charleston Battery (8-3-8) at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 21 at Highmark Stadium.
The second and final meeting between the two clubs during the regular season, the Hounds and the Battery sit second and third in the Eastern Conference, respectively. Both teams have played well as of late, each running a six-game unbeaten streak. The last meeting between the two sides ended in a nil-nil draw down south on June 23.
Pittsburgh will be in search of its first four-game winning streak since the 2013 season. The Hounds have not allowed a goal in five straight matches and could see that streak continue, as they have allowed only one goal in nine contests at Highmark Stadium this season.
Off the pitch, the Hounds will host Concussion Awareness Night, presented by Allegheny Health Network, in addition to having a special auction table on site for Wins For Kids to raise money for Pirates Charities and the Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the Pirate Parrot before the match, as well as bid on signed jerseys from the Hounds, Pirates and Borussia Dortmund.
Tickets to Saturday’s match are still available and can be found by visiting www.riverhounds.com. The game can also be streamed live via ESPN+ with a paid subscription.
