PITTSBURGH (October 10, 2019) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (17-4-11) prepares for its second-to-last regular season game, as it takes on Saint Louis FC (11-12-9) at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday at West Community Stadium.

Pittsburgh battled Saint Louis early in the 2019 season, on April 20 at Highmark Stadium, which ended in a draw.

The Hounds have only lost four games this season, which is the least amount in the Eastern Conference. PITTSBURGH (September 22, 2019) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (14-4-10) gears up for its second straight road game, clashing with Memphis 901 FC (8-13-7) at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at AutoZone Park.

The Hounds can clinch playoff berth with a victory this week.

In their first meeting this season, the Hounds dominated the match, winning 4-0 on Aug. 3 at Highmark Stadium. Tobi Adewole (27’), Robbie Mertz (45’+2), Jordan Dover (64’) and Steevan Dos Santos (69’) notched goals for the Black and Gold.

The Hounds have recorded five straight shutouts, logging a 3-0-2 record during this stretch. The team will attempt to record six straight clean sheets for the first time in team history this Tuesday.

On the other hand, Memphis is one of the hottest teams in the Eastern Conference. The USL Championship newcomer carries a four-game winning streak into the midweek showdown.

PITTSBURGH (September 19, 2019) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (14-4-9) will travel to battle Nashville SC (16-7-6) for a top-five showdown at 8 p.m. on Saturday at First Tennessee Park. This match will be televised on Pittsburgh’s CW.

This will be their second meeting this season, as the Hounds rallied late to draw Nashville SC, 2-2, on April 27 at Highmark Stadium. After Nashville jumped out to a 2-0 lead with goals from Ken Tribbett (41′) and Bradley Bourgeois (66′), Pittsburgh stormed back with a goal from Christian Volesky (88′) and an own goal from Kosuke Kimura (90’+2).

The Hounds are 3-1-1 in their last five games and carry a 5-4-3 road record into their match this weekend. The club is also working on a streak of four straight clean sheets.

Meanwhile, Nashville is 3-2-0 in its past five matches and owns a 7-3-3 home record. The squad is coming off a 1-0 home victory against Birmingham Legion FC this past Tuesday.

PITTSBURGH (August 28, 2019) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (12-4-8) takes on Ottawa Fury FC (10-4-9) at 7 p.m. on Friday at TD Place Stadium. 

The match will be the second meeting of the season between the clubs, as the first game took place on June 8 at Highmark Stadium. The Hounds held a 2-0 lead at one point, but two late goals from Ottawa knotted the score at 2-2. Kevin Kerr and Neco Brett scored the goals for the Black and Gold, coming in the 34th and 62nd minute, respectively.

Riverhounds SC is 4-4-3 in away matches this year, but is 4-1-0 in its last five matches. The Hounds are coming off a 1-0 home victory over Loudoun United FC.

Ottawa has a 7-1-4 home record this season. Fury FC has won consecutive games at TD Place Stadium, most recently defeating Saint Louis FC, 2-1.

PITTSBURGH (August 15, 2019) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (11-3-8) prepares for an away game against North Carolina FC (11-5-7), which will be the Hounds’ second away game in a row. The game will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday at WakeMed Soccer Park.

This will be Pittsburgh’s second time playing North Carolina this season. The first time the Hounds battled North Carolina was at a home game last month, which ended with a 1-0 win for Pittsburgh. The only goal scored in this game was by Robbie Mertz with an assist from Neco Brett during the 27th minute.

The Hounds have an away record of 4-3-3, and they are coming off a 2-1 road win against New York Red Bulls II this past Wednesday. Pittsburgh is currently on a five-game winning streak.

On the other hand, North Carolina has a home record of 6-1-4 and is coming off a 2-1 victory against Memphis 901 FC. North Carolina has won three out of its past five games.

PITTSBURGH (Aug. 8, 2019) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (9-3-8) will battle the Swope Park Rangers (3-11-6) at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Highmark Stadium for their second showdown this season.

In their first meeting, the teams played to a 2-2 draw at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas. Tobi Adewole (71st minute) and Anthony Velarde (90’+1 minute) scored for the Hounds whereas Rodney Wallace (83rd minute) and Kelyn Rowe (88th minute) potted tallies for the Rangers.

Pittsburgh has not lost a regular season match at Highmark Stadium since July 21, 2018, when it fell 1-0 to the Charleston Battery. Since this match, the Hounds have a 10-0-9 record in regular season matches at the venue. Furthermore, the club has won seven of its last nine matches heading into the weekend.

On the other hand, Swope Park has lost its last two matches. The club is also searching for its first road win this season (0-7-2 away record).

The clubs originally competed at Memphis this past May, but the game was abandoned at halftime and therefore did not count as an official result.

Pittsburgh has not lost a regular season match at Highmark Stadium since July 21, 2018, when it fell 1-0 to the Charleston Battery. Since this match, the Hounds have a 9-0-9 record in regular season matches at the venue.

Meanwhile, Memphis 901 FC carries a 2-4-3 away record into this weekend’s showdown. This will mark Memphis’ first road match since June 29, when they lost 1-0 to the Charlotte Independence.

This will mark the first meeting of the season between the clubs.

The Hounds carry an unbeaten home record (4-0-5) into this weekend’s showdown. Last season on the Fourth of July, the Black and Gold defeated North Carolina, 2-0, at Highmark Stadium.

On the other hand, this will be North Carolina’s second match of the week. The squad defeated Loudoun United FC, 3-0, at its home venue this past Wednesday.

PITTSBURGH (July 2, 2019) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (5-2-7) will clash with Bethlehem Steel FC (5-8-4) at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 at Highmark Stadium. The match will be televised on Pittsburgh’s CW.

The clubs tied their first meeting this season – a 2-2 result at Talen Energy Stadium. Kevin Kerr (4th minute) and Joe Greenspan (60th minute) posted goals for Pittsburgh whereas Faris Pemi Moumbagna (21st minute) and Michee Ngalina (36th minute) recorded tallies for Steel FC.

The Hounds have strung together the longest current winning streak in the Eastern Conference. In these three games, Pittsburgh has outscored its opposition, 12-1.

Meanwhile, Bethlehem is fresh off a 3-0 victory at the Hartford Athletic. Steel FC has a 3-2-1 away record in 2019 league play.

PITTSBURGH (June 13, 2019) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (2-2-7) will play Atlanta United 2 (3-6-4) for the first time this season at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. This match will be televised on Pittsburgh’s CW.

If Pittsburgh were to defeat the Atlanta on Saturday, it would mark the 200th all-time victory in club history. The Hounds head into the match this weekend on short rest, as the team dropped a 1-0 result to Columbus Crew SC of MLS in the fourth round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday in Columbus, Ohio.

Meanwhile, Atlanta has been scuffling as of late. The squad has not posted a win in its last seven matches. The club also holds a 2-5-0 home record this season.
