BRANDT, EARLS HEADLINE A NEW LOOK MONTH
Despite starting off June with a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Charleston Battery (6-3-3), Riverhounds (1-6-3) fans were treated to the return of Rob Vincent on one-game loan. Vincent didn’t disappoint either, netting a tally from way out to get the Hounds within one in the 50th minute.

Fans have plenty to look forward to this month as well as new head coach Dave Brandt continues to get himself acclimated after being hired at the end of May, while the club will welcome an old friend in former captain Danny Earls on contract for the remainder of the year.
Pittsburgh hopes to have Earls back for the Richmond Kickers match this Saturday, June 11, and build off the Battery performance, which saw them net season-highs in shots (16) and shots on goal (5). From there, Pittsburgh will return home to face FC Montreal (1-9-0) on Saturday, June 18 and then close the month in Rochester, New York, against Earls’ former club, the Rhinos (5-2-3), on Saturday, June 25.

THE FORCE COMES TO HIGHMARK STADIUM
Next Saturday’s match against FC Montreal is sure to be both entertaining on and off the pitch, as the Riverhounds welcome the 501st Legion to Highmark Stadium for“Beers, ‘Brawts’ and Star Wars Night.”
Nicknamed “Vader’s Fist,” this international Star Wars fan-based organization will be bringing Force-filled fun to the stadium by wearing authentic replica costumes from the film saga. The Hounds encourage all fans to get in on the fun by wearing their favorite Star Wars attire and taking advantage of the numerous photo opportunities available with the 501st Legion.
Adding to an already fun night on Father’s Day Weekend, beers and “brawts” will be the focus of cuisine for patrons. A beer sampling will take place when the gates open at 5 p.m. and will be available to all fans 21 years and older.
HOUNDS HONOR POW/MIA
Highlighting “Military and First Responder Night” this past Saturday was the dedication of a “POW/MIA Chair of Honor” to American prisoners of wars and soldiers missing in action. The POW/MIA dedication took place during halftime of the match, as Senators Wayne D. Fontana and Randy Vulakovich spoke to the 2,905 in attendance.
The Riverhounds became the first professional franchise in Pittsburgh to dedicate a “POW/MIA Chair of Honor.” The chair is now permanent fixture in section 107 of Highmark Stadium and is accompanied by a plaque commemorating the sacrifices made by United States troops serving our nation.

SUMMER CAMPS AND TRAINING ACADEMIES UNDERWAY
Riverhounds Summer Camps and our Summer Technical Training Academy are both getting underway this month.
