PITTSBURGH (November 3, 2017) – With limited spots remaining for one of western Pennsylvania’s premier training programs, the Riverhounds Goalkeeper Training Academy is set to kick off its 15 individual sessions on Nov. 17.
Led by Director of Goalkeeping and professional team keeper coach Hunter Gilstrap, this highly focused instruction supports the needs of young players of all skill levels from beginner to college, as well as professional prospects. With more than a decade of professional playing experience and most recently serving on the U.S. Under-14 Boys National Team staff, Gilstrap works directly with all participants and is accompanied by an incredible staff of keepers, including professional and NCAA Division I players.
Having a reputation for developing top-level talent, former academy staff and alumni have gone on to play or coach collegiately at several notable DI programs, including University of Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and West Virginia University, professionally for the Riverhounds, Rochester Rhinos and San Antonio FC, as well as have national team experience at the youth level with the U-14 and U-17 BNTs.
The academy features two groups for both boys and girls for sign up: Under-8 to Under-13 and Under-14 to Under-18. Prospective members can register at the link here, while further information on the academy can be found by visiting www.riverhounds.com.
