PITTSBURGH (July 6, 2018) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (8-1-7) rides a five-game unbeaten streak into its first and only visit during the regular season to Ottawa Fury FC (6-7-3) this Sunday at TD Place. Set to kick off at 1 p.m., this weekend’s match will be the second meeting between the two clubs this year, as the Hounds previously prevailed 1-0 at Highmark Stadium on April 14.
The last remaining team in the East to hold an unbeaten record on the road (3-0-4), the Hounds will have a tough test in Ottawa, which has won three of its last four at home. Pittsburgh though has thrived in tough tests away from home, with five of its seven matches coming against teams with a .500-or-better record.
Defense should once again be the star of the show on Sunday, with the Hounds running a streak of four straight games with a clean sheet. Registering a league-best 11 shutouts in total – three more than the next best team – Pittsburgh’s current shutout streak spans 397 minutes. The match will also feature two of the three co-leaders in the East for individual clean sheets in Hounds keeper Dan Lynd and Ottawa’s Maxime Crépeau (8).
