PITTSBURGH (October 5, 2018) – The 2018 regular season at Highmark Stadium will go out with a bang. Not only is the club hosting regular season champion and less-than-liked, to put it kindly, rival FC Cincinnati, but also giving back with a multitude of giveaways and festivities on the Mon as part of Fan Appreciation Night this Saturday.
This will be your last chance to catch the boys in Black and Gold before they’re back for the USL Cup Playoffs on Oct. 20, hosting a match that’s been six seasons in the making. Tickets for the playoff game are on sale now and can be purchased at the link here.
For Fan Appreciation Night, the first 2,000 fans through the gates will bring thunder to the Mon with “boom sticks,” courtesy of Epic Brokers & Consultants. In addition, we’re celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Allegheny Health Network, as AHN will provide the first 1,000 in attendance with special pink t-shirts to help spread awareness and kick breast cancer.
On the pitch, your Hounds will don special edition black and pink kits that will be raffled off during the match and presented to fans after the final whistle. All proceeds will go to the local Glimmer of Hope organization, which is dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer screening for young women in western Pennsylvania.
Lastly, be sure to visit some of the local partners on hand for the night. Carnegie Science Center will hold fun activities, such as safe-solar observing with telescopes and a chance to make glowing bracelets with UV light. In addition, Penn Brewery will have a seasonal beer tasting.
