Looking to get in the win column, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (0-1-2) heads to Kentucky this weekend for a 7 p.m. Saturday match against Louisville City FC (2-2-0) at Louisville Slugger Field. The game will be televised on Pittsburgh’s CW.
Ken He Do It Again?
In both games against Louisville City FC last season, midfielder Kenardo Forbes found the back of the net. Forbes is still searching for his first goal this season, but this track record and past success against the two-time reigning champions suggests he may find it this weekend.
The Archer Strikes
Midfielder Kevin Kerr notched his first goal of the year in the club’s draw against Bethlehem. Kerr has been one of the more active Hounds in the attacking third this season with a total of three shots. The 30-year-old has been effective in all three games this season and will have a chance to keep that going on Saturday.
Like a Cornerback
Midfielder Thomas Vancaeyezeele leads the Hounds this season with eight interceptions. Defender Jordan Dover is right behind Vancaeyezeele with seven interceptions of his own. Their strong defensive efforts will be heavily relied upon again this weekend, as Louisville is a great passing team that can move the ball up the field with ease.

Key to Victory: Feed the Forwards
Riverhounds SC has yet to see a goal from any of its forwards this season. Newly acquired strikers Christian Volesky and Steevan Dos Santos have managed to get shots on target, but have been held off the scoresheet thus far. If the frontline can get going this weekend, the Hounds could very well take down the two-time defending champions.
