PITTSBURGH (February 6, 2020) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC enters the first week of preseason action with 15 players under contract and an additional number invited on trial.
The Week Ahead
Pittsburgh will open preseason competition with two matches in the home confines of Highmark Stadium this weekend. The team will first play Duquesne University at 7 p.m. on Friday before battling Villanova University at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
All preseason games at Highmark Stadium are free to attend for the public.
In 2019, Duquesne University finished its season with an 8-8-1 record. The Dukes completed Atlantic 10 Conference play with a 3-5-0 mark.
Competing in the Big East Conference, Villanova University held a 9-8-1 overall record in 2019. The Wildcats posted a 2-6-1 record in conference action.
