PITTSBURGH (March 4, 2020) – Six Riverhounds Development Academy (RDA) Girls have been selected to participate in a 2020 ECNL Conference Selection Program (CSP) Ohio Valley Event, which will take place from March 7-8 in Cincinnati. The CSP is targeting players born from the 2006 to 2003 Age Range.
These athletes include Lola Abraham (06), Minah Syam (06), Ava Boyd (05), Tessa Dellarose (04), Aleena Ulke (04), and Sarah Schupansky (03). Dellarose and Schupansky are members of the 2003 RDA ECNL Girls team. Ulke competes for the 2004 RDA ECNL Girls team while Abraham, Boyd and Syam play for the 2005 RDA ECNL Girls team.
“It’s great for the girls to go and train with the top players in the Ohio Valley Conference,” Academy Director Scott Gibson said. “The standard of the conference is exceptional, so the experience gained will only help them develop further as players. This is an excellent opportunity created by the ECNL, and we wish the girls the best of luck.”
ECNL Conference Selection Programs identify top players within each ECNL conference at multiple age groups. These athletes will be brought together for a chance to train, compete and learn beside other elite players. In addition to the action on the field, these players are given the opportunity to attend presentations from leading coaches and experts in athlete development.
Earlier this year, both Schupansky and Dellarose participated in an ECNL National Selection Game, occurring in February and January, respectively. ECNL National Selection Games are a platform that allows top players to develop and compete among each other.
