PITTSBURGH (May 4, 2020) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC defeated Tacoma Defiance, 4-0, in its opening match of the USLeCup: FIFA20 Edition esports tournament this evening.
Defender Mark Lindstrom took the controls for the Hounds and dominated the match from start to finish. The Hounds, playing as the Belgium National Team, outshot Tacoma, which played as the Slovenia National Team, 11-2, over the course of the match. Pittsburgh also owned 59 percent possession.
With the win, the Hounds advance in the 32-team qualifying round bracket. Pittsburgh will next be in action against Union Omaha of USL League One at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. All of Pittsburgh’s FIFA20 esports matches can be streamed live on the club’s Twitch channel.
