PITTSBURGH (April 16, 2019) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC midfielder Kevin Kerr has been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week after posting a three-point performance in the squad’s home opener victory against Hartford Athletic.
Posting a tally and a helper, his goal ended up as the game-winner in Pittsburgh’s 3-1 win. As for his assist, it marked his 25th career helper with the team. Kerr is now tied with David Flavius for the most career assists in club history.
This season, the longest-tenured Hound leads the Black and Gold with five points (two goals and one assist). He also ranks second on the team with eight chances created and posted a game-high three chances created against Hartford this past weekend.
This is the first time this season a Hound has been named to Team of the Week.
Kerr and the Hounds will be back in action this weekend, as the club will battle first-place Saint Louis FC at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Highmark Stadium. Fans can purchase tickets at ticketmaster.com.
