PITTSBURGH (September 26, 2019) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds Development Academy (RDA) is proud to announce that Ava Boyd and Cameron Loveland have been selected to a US Club Soccer id2 National Identification and Development Camp.
Boyd is a member of the 2005 RDA Girls team whereas Loveland is a member of the 2006 RDA Boys team. This camp will last from Sept. 26-29 at Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Austin, Texas.
“As an Academy we are steadfast in our pursuit of providing national-level exposure opportunities for our players,” Academy Director Scott Gibson said. “The id2 program is another platform that we fully support, and this camp will allow both Ava and Cameron a chance to experience training among some of the top players in the country at their respective age groups. We wish them both the best of luck.”
At the camp, both Boyd and Loveland will have the opportunity to work closely with top soccer coaches from across the nation. U.S. Soccer staff will also be on hand, scouting these elite players at their respective age groups. In addition, camps feature guest speakers and classroom sessions, making for a truly multi-faceted learning experience.
These selections come on the heels of 11 RDA Girls being chosen for a U.S. Soccer Youth National Team Identification Center earlier this month, with Boyd being one of these athletes.
