PITTSBURGH (January 6, 2020) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC will kick off its 2020 home schedule against Louisville City FC at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 21 at Highmark Stadium, announced today by the USL Championship.
Individual tickets for the home opener will go on sale at 10 a.m. this Thursday, Jan. 9 and can be purchased at https://www.riverhounds.com/tickets or by calling the club’s ticketing department at (412) 865-GOAL. Season tickets and Flexbooks are currently on sale and can be purchased online or by calling the aforementioned number.
The Hounds last clashed with Louisville during the 2019 Eastern Conference Semifinals, taking place at Highmark Stadium. Pittsburgh defender Thomas Vancaeyezeele scored a goal in the 11th minute, but Louisville ultimately won the match in extra time, 2-1.
In the Highmark Stadium era, the Hounds hold a 2-3-2 record in home openers and a three-game unbeaten streak (1-0-2) in such matches. The club defeated Hartford Athletic, 3-1, during last year’s home opener in front of a sellout crowd.
Also announced today, Riverhounds SC will travel to battle the Charlotte Independence in their home opener on Saturday, March 14. The entire 2020 schedule will be announced at a later date.
