PITTSBURGH (August 4, 2020) – Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC midfielder Kenardo Forbes has been named to USL Championship Team of the Week, presented by Cleer Audio, following the club’s 4-0 victory against Philadelphia Union II on Aug. 1 at Highmark Stadium.
Forbes recorded two first-half assists in the match en route to setting the all-time league record with 38 career helpers. The 2019 MVP finalist connected with Steevan Dos Santos on a cross in the 22nd minute before finding Thomas Vancaeyezeele off a corner kick in the 36th minute.
In addition to his efforts on the attacking end, Forbes tied for a team-high four tackles and added two interceptions during the match.
The Kingston, Jamaica native currently leads the USL Championship with seven assists this season. He also ranks third in the league with 15 chances created.
Riverhounds SC will be back in action on Saturday, as the club hosts New York Red Bulls II. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Highmark Stadium, and the match will be televised on 22 The Point.
