• The 2008 Girls put together their first six-point weekend, which started with dominating on the attacking end in a 4-1 win over FC Pride. The group backed that up with a 3-2 victory over Indiana Fire. Madelynn Connellan scored in the first half, and Annalyse Bauer scored just after halftime to put the Hounds up 2-1. The Fire equalized from the penalty spot, but the Hounds’ pressure created a late chance for Korney to score the winner with five minutes to play.
• The 2009 Girls dropped their opening game in disappointing fashion, playing well throughout against FC Pride, but the team was unable to take advantage of long spells in control and fell 1-0 to a shot that floated into the net. The Hounds were rewarded for continuing the good play into Sunday, as they defeated Indiana Fire, 1-0.
