PITTSBURGH (April 14, 2017) – The Pittsburgh Riverhounds (1-2-1) look to bounce back following a close loss at home earlier this week, facing the Charlotte Independence (0-1-1) at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 15 at Eagle Field on the campus of Winthrop University.

In search of their second straight win on the road, the Hounds face a stiff test in the Independence, as Pittsburgh has yet to defeat the club in five tries all-time (0-4-1). On the road has been particularly unforgiving with the Hounds being outscored 8-2 in three meetings, including 4-0 last season at Ramblewood Soccer Complex.

Playing only two matches so far this season, the Independence find themselves at 14th in the Eastern Conference table. Charlotte’s lone home match of 2017 was a 2-0 defeat to the Charleston Battery – a squad Pittsburgh is less than a week removed from defeating 2-1 at MUSC Health Stadium.

Fans can catch all the action via USL Match Center or watch the stream live on YouTube. Further details on the game can be found below.
